Hughes Clan Aran Poncho

The Hughes Clan Aran Poncho has a honeycomb central panel, flanked by cable, rope, zig-zag, plait and moss stitches on either side. The honeycomb stitch symbolises work, cable represents good luck, zig-zags represent the ups and downs of marriage and moss symbolises nature. This beautiful Aran Poncho has been knitted in the traditional báinín (pronounced ‘baw neen’) colour, the natural white of the wool. It comes to you complete with a clan history and crest. It is made of 100% pure new wool, and is water repellent and breathable.

Please remember, wool is a natural fibre and has a strong element of flexibility. If your garment feels slightly small at first, give it a gentle stretch which will loosen the fibres in a way that will not damage the garment or cause it to lose its shape.

Where a specific size is available for a garment: To calculate the size sweater you require simply measure across the chest of your favourite sweater in inches and double that value.
