The Secret Is Out This Spring: In With The New And Out With The Old.

In many warmer climates, your woollen garments might be banished to the back of your wardrobe with onset of Spring (if this is the case you need to check out our  Lightweight Aran Sweaters) but here in the green landscapes of Ireland, your winter staple pieces can last long into 2022. And we are on a mission to show you why the wonderful sustainable material of  wool can be your go-to this Spring/Summer.

In Ireland, our location on the Atlantic Ocean's western front means a mixture of showers, sunny spells and sharp breezes are usually what entails coming into Spring; these changeable and unpredictable weather patterns result in some days being colder than others meaning an Aran Sweater is always a go-to garment during this season.

Its' breathable fabric reminds us of the fresh, crisp air we breathe which is symbolic of what this season is all about - wool creates air pockets giving it the unique ability to absorb moisture and transport it away from the body. This incredible insulation factor works to keep you both warm and cool. For the milder evenings in Spring/Summer, you'll be more comfortable in a lightweight knit, which wicks moisture away from the skin, helping keep you cooler and drier. Not only does wool help you keep cool in the summer, but Merino wool in the hot humid weather doesn't wilt or wrinkle like cotton and linen.

As Springtime is all about the new, we wanted to share some inspiration on this season's top new colors featuring gorgeous pastel tones of Seafoam Green, Winter Rose and Misty Blue just to name a few to keep you warm, stylish and on trend. Plus, is there anything more comforting than cosying up in a slightly oversized sweater? We think not.

Seafoam Green

This stunning Seafoam Green is a gentle pastel green; the perfect shade as it reminds us of the slowing, light, transparent seawater ebbing along our coastlines while we enjoy the brighter evenings ahead.

Sunflower Yellow

Sunflower Yellow is a gorgeous shade of yellow which reminds us not only of the golden sun but also of the blooming flowers that Spring never fails to deliver here in Ireland.

Dark blues, greens and browns are some colors that pair beautifully with Sunflower Yellow. You can see in the images below how this color is unmistakably striking and will  bring a richness and zest when worn. A absolute must color to have for your Spring wardrobe.

Warm Lavender

Warm Lavender is a luxurious gentle pastel purple/violet that is reminiscent of a fresh and blissful heather landscape in Spring/Summer. This shade is highly associated with elegance and opulence as it's richness gives a feeling of warmth while not being overtly bright if you prefer a more subtle tone.

This color is so popular in the Springtime as it compliments any color it is paired with making it very versatile knit.
